The intel stock was down ~30% today. I bought some shares. Although I don’t necessarily believe it is the solid price bottom, there might be a meaningful size of safety margin for the following reasons:
a. Long term wise, its downside seems to be limited
- I listened to some interviews of Lip_Bu Tan, its new CEO. I couldn’t find any gaps in his reasonings, which is not always true in other CEOs interview
b. The 30% down was mostly caused by a much weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter revenue in PC market downturn, which might not hurt its key future upsides that I like.
- The only foundry company that’s head-quartered in the USA and takes a full stack system approach;
- Market grabbing potential in the physical AI
- Investment exposure in Quantum Computing
