1. We went to a restaurant selling blunch for lunch the other day. We waited 2 hours and didn’t get the food until 2:20pm. Since it was so late, Jiankun made a comment like, “It’s not blunch. Now it’s linner (composed of ‘l’ from lunch and ‘inner’ from dinner).” I was like, “No, actually it’s blinner… (composed of ‘b’ from breakfast, ‘l’ from lunch and ‘inner’ from dinner’)
2. I was making Spaghetti in the kitchen just now and Zack asked me, “Do you know how to tell if the noodles are ready?” “No, I don’t.” I sensed he was trying to do something. Zack confirmed my guess by kidding me, “You just throw one piece of noodle onto the wall. If it got sticked, the noodles are ready to eat…”
I kidded him back like, “So whose room’s wall is the best to do this kind of testing?”
3. Mohsen caught a cold the other day and I laughed at him by claiming he was weak. I was like, “Mohsen, let me know the next time you caught a cold so that I can laugh at you…”
4. Jordan has been my housemate for one year. Since there is another Jordan moving into the house for the coming semester, we were discussing about how to differentiate them. I kidded old Jordan like, “We can call the new Jordan ‘cool Jordan’ and call you ‘uncool Jordan’…”
