1. Everybody left the house for Xmas but Kim and me. I was cooking in the kitchen this evening and made too much smoke, which set up the fire alarm unexpectedly. So Kim and I had to call 911 for the fire fighters to reset the alarm.
Upon setting feet in our house, one fire fighter asked me, “How are you doing?”
“I am OK. Just feel lonely and have to ask you guys to come.” I replied.
2. Before leaving, the same fire fighter asked me to put down my name and number so that he can enclose them into his report. So I put down “Barton” and my phone number on a paper.
That guy took a look at the paper and asked me “Is Barton your first name or last name?”
“Oh, that’s actually my fake name…” I told the truth.
