1.1 Mohsen, my officemate broke his left wrist when playing soccer last weekend. Upon his arrival of the office and the moment that we figured out what was going on, Jiankun, one of my other officemates, made comments like, “Mohsen, I think Rama (our professor) should cut your pay into half, since you can only work with one hand…”
1.2 Even though I thought the professor would comment on Mohsen’s broken wrist like “Hey Mohsen, I think you should work as hard as you play soccer”, the professor made a better one by threatening us in the office saying, “Did you guys see the consequence of not working in the office during the weekend? See, when I asked you guys work in the office during the weekend, I was actually protecting you guys from breaking your wrist…”
1.3 After professor left the office, Jiankun joked with Mohsen like, “Mohsen, you should have told Rama you broke your wrist on the stairs so that he didn’t have to give us such a hard time.” “No, that’s not good enough,” I added, “If I were Mohsen, I would have told Rama that I broke my wrist while I was programming on the keyboard…”
2. On July 12th of 2011, I received this Christmas gift mailed by Siqi Liu before December 20th of 2010…. Even though it’s kind of hilarious to receive a Christmas gift in such a hot hot summer, still please allow me to say “Son of Lady Gaga!”
