1. Anna and Spencer were working on the house dinner in the kitchen the other day, when Gina was helping them mixing the pasta from the pan. I felt hungry, so I kept picking up pastas piece by piece into month with my hands.
Gina yelled at me, “Barton, it’s not dinner time yet!”
“I know… That’s why I am not using any fork or dish!” I replied.
2. Steve got a date the other day. The next morning Caitlin S. asked Earl, Steve’s roomie, how that date was going. Earl told her, ” Well, he didn’t come back last night. Obviously it went well….”
3. During research, I like to do what I feel right and fail to follow Rama’s guidance from time to time, which was not always fun for Rama. Finally, Rama got pretty pissed off the other day, “Mingwu, please do what exactly I told you and follow my words from now on until next Valentine’s Day. Let’s see what can happen…”
“OK..” I replied totally having no idea what on earth is going on between Valentine’s Day and my research…
4. For some reason I have to meet Rama every other Saturday. The other day he came to the office saying we can’t meet on campus that coming Saturday due to the football game on campus. “Are you sure? I thought this week’s game is on road” I asked.
“I am sure. You can check by yourself if you like.” Rama said.
So I actually got on ESPN.com to check it out with Rama standing behind me. After figuring it out, I turned my head back and told Rama he was right, who was smiling and kidding me,
“Mingwu, why were you questioning me? You know what, if you did that in a company, you have been unemployed right here right now. You can do that after I leave the office if you like and tell me later if I was wrong…”

I’ve got a dog named “旺财“ in Chinese or “Cash Wooer” in English to accompany me in campus every day! It’s so cute and I love it!
Another beauty of this deal is, I finally figure out a function for that pocket of my bag holding this dog, which has been a mystery for me for a while.
