The art of war is simple enough.
Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving.

a. High lights: How I grew up in the 4-day conference
The 1st day, I was kinda self-conscious, with no awareness about how to dance, how to hook up with girls, how to strike up conversations with American guys and how to do almost everything. Jason from Madison told me American students have parties every week (so called: good good party, day day up. –my own notes) and asked me to assert “Bitches, show me the party” to my Local Community’s members.
The 2nd day, Mary from Kansas initially came and dance with me, taught me how to dance and encouraged me to dance as I wished. Ben from GIT told me the most important thing was to dance and have fun.
Jason Mary
The 3rd day, Jason asked me to be his partner to do the sandwich dance with the girls.

Left: one-layered (girl) sandwich Right: two-layered (girls)sandwich

When one dance was ended, I jumped on the top of those crazy people.
The 4th day, Ben was hosting a conference session. He claimed the room and the session were really hot and took off his coat and shirt. I got on the stage and sticked one dollar into his waist, as if treating a stripper. People exploded into laughter.

I did the dollar, as if doing Ben as a stripper. It was cool, I know.
b. Travel to St. Louis
When I tried to pee at Airport of St . Louis, I was quite shocked at the first sight of the urinal flushers.
Based on its shape, I thought it might be a toilet for poo (Left Fig.), until I found the air fresher (circled by red rectangle in Right Fig.), which was normaly put in the unrinal flusher for pee.
Left:@plane,before departure Right:Wait for the shuttle @ St. Louis airport
Left:Back from McDonald’s Right:Merry Xarismas
c. Dance
Left: Every body! Right: Ariana and me
Left: Every body! Right: Girls from OSU
d. Conference
The theme of this conference is “Just do it!”, encouraging us to get out of our comfort zone and do our best to interact with strangers.
—-The chair said ” I hope every body in the conference feel uncomfortable. That’s the way we grow up. If you feel comfortable, the conference is not for you.”
—-A hot girl asked, “So is it OK for me to make others uncomfortable?”
—-I said to her quietly in my mind,”You can make me as uncomfortable as you can …”
Left: The roll call dance from OSU
Right: The stuff lost by those crazy dancers in last night’s party
We came to an agreement before the conference that, whoever lost their items would be cursed by punishments. The items in the right upper picutre were lost by people in the last night’s party. The lossers were damned to be punished as follows:
Left: They lay down on the floor, ladies by gentlemen. We put one penny (circled by blue rectangle) on the belly of first person. They should try to transport the penny using only the pressure between their bellies…..
Right: One lady got on top of the gentle man, press his body with her own body as hard as she could and roll….Much more thrilling than Adult Video, isn’t it?
Left: OMG….. Right: OMG…..
e. Party
We smoke the hookah
We got the vodka (Left Fig.) in a grocery store far from the hotel. Though some of the guys are still under 21, who are illegal to drink, we drank, and a lot. (Right Fig.)
f. Waffle House
Left: we hung out in the lobby.
Right:The AIESECers who took the van and got to Waffle House first.
The last night, we danced until 3:00 am and hung out in the lobby. The coffee bar in the hotel was closed. We decided to go to Waffle House (open 24 hours) to grab something to eat. 20 people were squeezed into a van, which normally seat 12 people, while many other AIESECers could not take the van. However they took cabs to catch up with us.
Whenever the AIESECer who took cabs to join us came into Waffle House, we cheered and welcomed them. However, when a gang of people came in ( the Left Fig.) , we thought they were AIESECers and cheered. They turned out to be strangers, ignored us and walked directly into the bathroom ( the Right Fig.). We were kinda frustrated but couldn’t help laughing. It was funny.
We took a crazy photo before we left.
g. Red Army’s fan
A guy from Purdue (Left Fig.) seemed to be a great fan of Red Army. Look at his cap….In Waffle House somebody initialize to compete about who could drink the most pepper sauce. He said nothing but drink a whole bottle of hot pepper sauce up…..(Right Fig.)
h. Summary
a. This was my first confernce that others paid for my flight tickets and conference fee. It meant a lot to me.
b. What was more important, it was my first time to have parties with American students and without any other Chinese students. They treated me like an American students, so I learned so much about American culture and English, even much more than that I learned in the past 4 months. I knew how they boo, how they gossip, how they make fool of others, how they hang out and hook up with others and even what they do at dinner table to have fun(类似于国内的拉歌)
i.Envision
a. Hopefully, i can secure several conferences paid by others this year.
Drafted schedule:
Feburary: Washington DC & Illinois/Chicago
June: San Diego
b. Continue to hang out with American students, learn American culture and English. That’s the reason I came to this country.

Thanks for the heads up on the waffle maker givwaeay I don’t own one but would love to have one so I could make protein waffles! That potato soup looks great and being that it’s made with red potatoes, it’s much better for you than regular old russets.
